“May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.” 2 Thessalonians 3:5 NIV
The bible says the condition of a mans heart defines him, what is the condition of your heart? Do you give expecting? Do you help out but complain? God knows our heart even though we can camouflage it. Today’s prayer is that we would have the heart of Jesus, all giving and giving with nothing but love never expecting anything in return…….Be Blessed
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new
“BE PREPARED TO SUFFER FOR GOD, in HIS Name. All suffering has meaning in GOD’S kingdom. Pain and problems are opportunities to demonstrate your trust in The LORD. Bearing your circumstances bravely—even thanking GOD for them—is one of the highest forms of praise. This sacrifice of thanksgiving rings golden-toned bells of Joy throughout heavenly realms. On earth also, your patient suffering sends out ripples of good tidings in ever-widening circles. When suffering strikes, remember that GOD is sovereign and that GOD can bring good out of everything. Do not try to run from pain or hide from problems. Instead, accept adversity in The LORD’S Name, offering it up to GOD for HIS purposes. Thus, your suffering gains meaning and draws you closer to GOD. Joy emerges from the ashes of adversity through your trust and thankfulness.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. JAMES 1 : 2 – 4
Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy. PSALM 107 : 21 – 22
Prayer: Lord when trials come, and you are upfront and tell us they will in this life, help me to offer it up to you for your purposes. To draw near to you and cling to your promise to use everything for good. I trust you Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
The name Jesus is a precious name to believers. It’s the name that brings them comfort and joy. It’s the name they love to hear exalted in preaching, it’s the name through which they pray.
It is a name given by divine appointment. It was not left to the family to pick a name. The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and assured him with the message “that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost” and informed him that the child’s name should be Jesus. Matthew 1:21
It is a name with meaning and it is the right name. Some have been given a name with meaning but have failed to live up to the name, but Jesus proved the name is rightly his — he is the Savior.
“He shall save his people.” His people were under the curse and condemnation of sin but he came to rescue them. His people were deserving of wrath and judgment, but he came to deliver them. His people owed a great debt they could not pay, but he came to pay it.
When he said at Calvary, “It is finished” the work of redemption was indeed complete. Nothing needed to be added to it; nothing could ever be found lacking. He paid the price and got what he paid for. The Redeemer actually redeemed.
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Isaiah 26:3 NLT
What are you thinking about? Are you focused on the problem? Are you thinking of all the things around you that are in a struggle? This scripture says to keep focus on The Lord and he will give you perfect peace!!! Not just peace but PERFECT peace. Today I pray that we would focus on Jesus ( the solution) not the problem, and rest in the lords finished work……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“TAKE TIME TO BE STILL in GOD’S Presence. The more hassled you feel, the more you need this sacred space of communion with GOD. Breathe slowly and deeply. Relax in The LORD’S Holy Presence while HIS Face shines upon you. This is how you receive GOD’S Peace, which HE always offers to you. Imagine the pain GOD feels when HIS children tie themselves up in anxious knots, ignoring GOD’S gift of Peace. The LORD JESUS CHRIST died a criminal’s death to secure this blessing for you. Receive it gratefully; hide it in your heart. The LORD’S Peace is an inner treasure, growing within you as you trust in HIM. Therefore, circumstances cannot touch it. Be still, enjoying Peace in GOD’S Presence.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” PSALM 46 : 10
“The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” NUMBERS 6 : 25 – 26
Prayer: God help me to make time to be still in your presence. To rest and relax in you as you fill me with your peace that surpasses understanding. You are my refuge and strength. You are an ever present help in trouble. Therefore I will not fear for you are stronger and mightier than any circumstance I may face. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“BEWARE OF SEEING YOURSELF through other people’s eyes. There are several dangers to this practice. First of all, it is nearly impossible to discern what others actually think of you. Moreover, their views of you are variable: subject to each viewer’s spiritual, emotional, and physical condition. The major problem with letting others define you is that it borders on idolatry. Your concern to please others dampens your desire to please GOD, your Creator. It is much more real to see yourself through GOD’S eyes. GOD’S gaze upon you is steady and sure, untainted by sin. Through HIS eyes you can see yourself as one who is deeply, eternally loved. Rest in GOD’S loving gaze, and you will receive deep Peace. Respond to GOD’S loving Presence by worshiping HIM in spirit and in truth.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. HEBREWS 11 : 6
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” JOHN 4 : 23 – 24
Prayer: Lord help me to see myself and others as you see, as dearly loved children of the King. Help me to rest in your loving gaze and worship you in spirit and truth. Holy Spirit open my eyes to see all that God is for me because of Jesus and tether me to the truth of your word. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Maybe you have always thought that Christianity was only for Christians, that you are either a religious person or you are not. But, in fact, the God who created you demands obedience from you, no matter what your personal history or experience may be.
God commands every person, everywhere to repent of their rebellion against him. By nature, we are all rebels against our good Maker; we prefer to do things our own way, to follow our own course. As our Maker, however, God reserves the right to demand submission to his righteous, perfect will.
Why should you repent? Why should you heed his command? Because God has already circled the day on his calendar in which he will judge every part of his creation, including you. Individuals may resist his authority or ignore his demands, but no one will be able to avoid their appointment with God.
And who will be the judge on that day? Jesus Christ himself. He will judge the very people that have rejected him and his claims upon their lives. He has already given us a foretaste of his authority and power by rising from the dead (verse 31b).
And so now every person is without excuse. There is no reason not to believe on Jesus Christ; He has proven his divinity and will one day soon appear in all his glory.
How will you see him? How do you see him? Have you repented and acknowledged the claims of Jesus Christ upon your life?
“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3 NKJV
Do you ever feel like everything you do becomes a disaster? Do you feel like when you try to do good it seems it turns out bad? Well that is the work of the devil. This scripture reminds us that God always has our back when we are doing things that show his love, and that is when the devil shows up the most. Today’s prayer is that we would always remember who has our back, God Almighty…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
YOU HAVE BEEN on a long, uphill journey, and your energy is almost spent. Though you have faltered at times, you have not let go of GOD’S hand. The LORD is pleased with your desire to stay close to HIM. There is one thing, however, that displeases The LORD: your tendency to complain. You may talk to GOD as much as you like about the difficulty of the path we are following. GOD understands better than anyone else the stresses and strains that have afflicted you. You can vent safely to GOD, because talking with The LORD tempers your thoughts and helps you see things from HIS perspective. Complaining to others is another matter altogether. It opens the door to deadly sins such as self-pity and rage. Whenever you are tempted to grumble, come to The LORD and talk it out. As you open up to GOD, HE will put HIS thoughts in your mind and HIS song in your heart.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” JEREMIAH 31 : 25
Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. PHILIPPIANS 2 : 14 – 15
Prayer: Lord help me to bring all my concerns and complaints to you. Help me to see things from your perspective. You work all things for good for your children. Refresh me today and help me to shine like a star reflecting your light to those around me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?” “Who are you, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” he replied. (Acts 9:4-5 NIV)
I don’t think there will ever be a more radical conversion to Christ as the one of Saul to Paul. The thing that sticks out most in this scripture is the fact that Saul addressed him as Lord!. Saul had been telling everyone that the disciples were spreading false truth and that Jesus was a fake, yet he knew him right away as Lord. Today I pray that there would be radical conversions to Jesus as this one and God would receive all the deserving glory, I know this scripture is personal to me, as I am a Saul to Paul conversion…….Be Blessed
