“For nothing will be impossible with God.” Luke 1:37 NASB
No matter what you feel or what you think this scripture speaks absolute truth!!!!! Think back to the worst situation in your life, did you make it through ? Yes you did!!! Was it you? Today’s prayer is that we all would 100% know that God is able and will will always carry us through our trials……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
Prayer Request: Before I begin today’s Daily Devotional I have a prayer request of my own to make: a few years before I started this page in 2005 I got added to a daily email list that my friend / co-worker Angie sent out call the “Message From Jesus” this daily email is what I used to start “Daily Devotional in Christ” and it continues to be the source for these videos. I found out this morning that my friend Angie is at the hospital sister who is in ICU and is expected to be taken home to The LORD soon. Please pray for Angie , her family and especially her son Tyler, Lift Them up in your prayers
BE ON GUARD against the pit of self-pity. When you are weary or unwell, this demonic trap is the greatest danger you face. Don’t even go near the edge of the pit. Its edges crumble easily, and before you know it, you are on the way down. It is ever so much harder to get out of the pit than to keep a safe distance from it. That is why GOD tells you to be on guard. There are several ways to protect yourself from self-pity. When you are occupied with praising and thanking GOD, it is impossible to feel sorry for yourself. Also, the closer you live to GOD, the more distance there is between you and the pit. Live in the Light of GOD’S Presence by fixing your eyes on The LORD. Then you will be able to run with endurance the race that is set before you, without stumbling or falling.
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. PSALM 89 : 15 – 16
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.. HEBREWS 12 : 1 – 2 (NKJV)
Prayer: Today Lord we ask you that when we start to feel sorry for ourselves we instead look to your guidance and not inward to ourselves. We trust in you to make things well. Amen
May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Ephesians 3:19 NLT
Sometimes we let the circumstances defeat us, we feel like the whole world is against us!!!! Take heart and know the God who loves us and saved us from eternal hell. Gods plans for us are to prosper and excel, not live defeated in a broken world…..today I pray that all would understand the love that God has for each and every one of us, he is always with us to see us through the trials……..Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“YOU NEED GOD EVERY MOMENT. Your awareness of your constant need for GOD is your greatest strength. Your neediness, properly handled, is a link to GOD’S Presence. However, there are pitfalls that you must be on guard against: self-pity, self-preoccupation, giving up. Your inadequacy presents you with a continual choice—deep dependence on GOD, or despair. The emptiness you feel within will be filled either with problems or with The LORD’S Presence. Make The LORD central in your consciousness by praying continually: simple, short prayers flowing out of the present moment. Use GOD’S Name liberally, to remind you of HIS Presence. Keep on asking and you will receive, so that your gladness may be full and complete.”
Pray continually. 1 THESSALONIANS 5 : 17
Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. JOHN 16 : 24
Prayer: God I need you every moment. When things get tough, help me to guard against self-pity, to press into you, and surrender control to you. Remind me to keep on asking, to pray specifically, and trust you with the outcome and timing. In Jesus’ faithful name. Amen.
And his name will be the hope of all the world.” Matthew 12:21 NLT
Isaiah spoke plain and clear about Jesus in this prophecy. What are you hoping for? Who have you put your hope in? Today’s prayer is that we all would remember who we put our trust in, we put our trust in Jesus Christ the hope of the world, so when the waters get rough remember this scripture……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9 NKJV
Do you have a thorn in your side? Or like many a whole rose bush, when trials come upon us it’s then when we go to God in prayer, Paul pleaded with The Lord to remove this from him but instead God was saying where is you faith? Don’t you understand I will deliver you from your problem?. We tend to try to fix all of our problems instead of trusting that God has us in his hand, today rejoice when a problem comes your way, because The Lord’s promise is he will handle it!!!! His grace will always be sufficient ………Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“TRUST AND THANKFULNESS IN GOD WILL get you safely through this day. Trust protects you from worrying and obsessing. Thankfulness keeps you from criticizing and complaining: those “sister sins” that so easily entangle you. Keeping your eyes on GOD is the same thing as trusting GOD. It is a free choice that you must make thousands of times daily. The more you choose to trust The LORD, the easier it becomes. Thought patterns of trust become etched into your brain. Relegate troubles to the periphery of your mind, so that GOD can be central in your thoughts. Thus you focus on GOD, entrusting your concerns into HIS care.”
So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. COLOSSIANS 2 : 6 – 7
But my eyes are fixed on you, O Sovereign LORD; in you I take refuge—do not give me over to death. PSALM 141 : 8
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 PETER 5 : 7
Prayer: Lord help me to trust You instead of worrying and to thank you for every good thing in my life instead of complaining because every blessing is a gift from you. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you this week. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be.” James 3:9-10 NIV
James has always been one of my favorite books, hard but true. In this passage he speaks of praising the Lord and cursing mankind with the same mouth. Have you ever woken up in the morning and went to prayer then on your way to work been cut off in traffic and said some not nice words? I think we all have. Today’s prayer is that by the power of the Holy Spirit we would be so filled with God’s word that only good comes from our mouths……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches.” 1 Corinthians 7:17 NIV
Do you ever wonder what your purpose is? Have you ever seen the worship leader and said “I wish that were me”? Do you not understand that the little old lady handing out the pamphlets at the door is just as important in God’s eyes. God has given each one of us an individual gift, how we choose to use it is up to us. The body works together and one finger is as important as one hand. Today I pray that whatever gift you have been given by God that you would use it to please and glorify the Lord not man………..Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me. No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice. My body rests in safety. Psalms 16:8-9 NLT
Do you ever feel alone? Are you always the one making difficult decisions? The psalmist tells us that we are never alone, that God is always beside us. In the world it is beat into our minds that we are weak if we need help, but Jesus said ” I leave you a helper, the great council, THE HOLY SPIRIT!!!!! Today I pray that we all would understand that we have the The LORD living on the inside and he is there to help us through every situation, if we will listen, will you listen? Be Blessed
