Dull gray rocks greet your gaze and cause your feet to ache. Yet Joy is still attainable. Search for it as for hidden treasure. Begin by remembering that GOD has created this day; it is not a chance occurrence. Recall that GOD is present with you whether you sense HIS Presence or not. Then, start talking with GOD about whatever is on your mind. Rejoice in the fact that The LORD understands you perfectly, and HE knows exactly what you are experiencing. As you continue communicating with GOD, your mood will gradually lighten. Awareness of GOD’S marvelous Companionship can infuse Joy into the grayest day.”

The ultimate solution to rebellious tendencies is submission to GOD’S authority over you. Intellectually you rejoice in The LORD’S sovereignty, without which the world would be a terrifying place. But when GOD’S sovereign will encroaches on your little domain of control, you often react with telltale resentment. The best response to losses or thwarted hopes is praise: The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. Remember that all good things—your possessions, your family and friends, your health and abilities, your time—are gifts from The LORD. Instead of feeling entitled to all these blessings, respond to them with gratitude. Be prepared to let go of anything GOD takes from you, but never let go of GOD’S hand!”

Though the process of aging continues, inwardly you grow stronger with the passing years. Those who live close to GOD develop an inner aliveness that makes them seem youthful in spite of their years. Let GOD’S Life shine through you, as you walk in the Light with HIM.”

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. – 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 JOHN 1 : 7
Prayer: Lord though outwardly I am aging and growing weary, on the inside you are making me more and more alive. My strength comes from you. Show me any obstacle between us and give me the desire to remove it. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”” Genesis 4:3-7 NKJV
I believe this scripture is essential for all of us. Cain brought the least and Able brought the first, the best, the deserving of the Lord! Are you giving God your best or just the leftovers? Take time to savor its richness, basking in The LORD’S golden Light. One of the worst consequences of the Fall is the elaborate barriers people erect between themselves and others. Facades abound in the world, even in GOD’S Body, the Church. Sometimes, church is the last place where people feel free to be themselves. They cover up with Sunday clothes and Sunday smiles. They feel relief when they leave because of the strain of false fellowship. The best antidote to this artificial atmosphere is practicing GOD’S Presence at church. Let your primary focus be communing with GOD, worshiping HIM, glorifying HIM. Then you will be able to smile at others with GOD’S Joy and love them with HIS Love.”
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 1 JOHN 1 : 5 – 7
The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” EXODUS 33 : 14
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable— if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. PHILIPPIANS 4 : 8 – 9
Prayer: Lord thank you that I can come to you with my defenses down and allow you to fill me with your joy and peace. Help me to take every thought captive and make it obedient to you Jesus and replace those thoughts with things that are true, right, noble, pure, admirable, lovely, excellent and praiseworthy.
