1 Peter‬ ‭1 : 6 – 7

“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1 : 6 – 7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

How do you deal with the trials of life? Do you stress, worry, curse, cry or pray? Prayer and communication with our Lord during trials are critical!!! Not communicating with God shows your dependence on your own self effort. Today’s prayer is that you exercise your Faith in GOD not yourself! When trials rear their ugly head seek GOD for council ……. The world has changed enormously since GOD first gave the command to be still and know that HE is GOD. However, this timeless truth is essential for the well-being of your soul. As dew refreshes grass and flowers during the stillness of the night, so GOD’S Presence revitalizes you as you sit quietly with HIM. A refreshed, revitalized mind is able to sort out what is important and what is not. In its natural condition, your mind easily gets stuck on trivial matters. Like the spinning wheels of a car trapped in mud, the cogs of your brain spin impotently when you focus on a trivial thing. As soon as you start communicating with GOD about the matter, your thoughts gain traction and you can move on to more important things. Communicate with GOD continually, and The LORD will put HIS thoughts into your mind.”

She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” LUKE 10 : 39 – 42 

For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 1 CORINTHIANS 14 : 33 (NKJV)

Prayer

Prayer: Father, thank You for the gentle refreshment of Your Presence that renews my spirit. Teach me to rest in stillness with You, so my mind may be cleared of distractions and filled with Your life-giving thoughts and perspective. Amen.

The mind is a powerful thing! What you think you become! What are you thinking about? Things of God or things of the world? Today’s prayer is that we would all think of the acronym WWJD ( What Would Jesus Do ) and follow HIS model, life will become more clear, more fruitful, less stressed, and we will have HIS perfect peace …….. “LIVING IN DEPENDENCE ON GOD is a glorious adventure. Most people scurry around busily, trying to accomplish things through their own strength and ability. Some succeed enormously; others fail miserably. But both groups miss what life is meant to be: living and working in collaboration with GOD. When you depend on GOD continually, your whole perspective changes. You see miracles happening all around, while others see only natural occurrences and “coincidences.” You begin each day with joyful expectation, watching to see what The LORD will do. You accept weakness as a gift from GOD, knowing that The LORD’S Power plugs in most readily to consecrated weakness. You keep your plans tentative, knowing that The LORD’S plans are far superior. You consciously live, move, and have your being in GOD, desiring that GOD lives in you. The LORD in you, and you in The LORD. This is the intimate adventure GOD offers you.”

Scripture

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 CORINTHIANS 12 : 9 – 10 

“‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” ACTS 17 : 28

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. COLOSSIANS 2 : 6 – 7 

On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. JOHN 14 : 20

Prayer

Prayer: Jesus, thank You for inviting me into the adventure of living in dependence on You. Keep my heart surrendered and my plans open to Yours, and let me walk each day with joyful expectation of what You will do in and through me. Amen.

Isaiah spoke plain and clear about Jesus Christ in this prophecy. What are you hoping for? Who have you put your hope in? Today’s prayer is that we all would remember who we put our trust in, we put our trust in Jesus Christ the hope of the world, so when the waters get rough remember this scripture …… Be Blessed

“SEEK GOD with your whole being. GOD desires to be found by you, and GOD orchestrates the events of your life with that purpose in mind. When things go well and you are blessed, you can feel GOD smiling on you. When you encounter rough patches along your life-journey, trust that GOD’S Light is still shining upon you. GOD’S reasons for allowing these adversities may be shrouded in mystery, but The LORD’S continual Presence with you is an absolute promise. Seek GOD in good times; seek GOD in hard times. You will find GOD watching over you all the time.”

But if from there you seek the LORD your God, you will find him if you look for him with all your heart and with all your soul. DEUTERONOMY 4 : 29 

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. HEBREWS 10 : 23 

The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. PSALM 145 : 20

Prayer

Prayer: God help me to seek you with my whole being and to thank you in good times and tough times too. Knowing you promise to use all things for the good of those who love you. Align my heart to yours today. In Jesus’ name. Amen

“DEMONSTRATE YOUR TRUST IN GOD by sitting quietly in HIS Presence. Put aside all that is waiting to be done, and refuse to worry about anything. This sacred time together strengthens you and prepares you to face whatever the day will bring. By waiting with GOD before you begin the day’s activities, you proclaim the reality of HIS living Presence. This act of faith — waiting before working — is noted in the spirit world, where your demonstration of trust weakens principalities and powers of darkness. The most effective way to resist evil is to draw near GOD. When you need to take action, GOD will guide you clearly through HIS Holy Spirit and HIS Word. The world is so complex and overstimulating that you can easily lose your sense of direction. Doing countless unnecessary activities will dissipate your energy. When you spend time with GOD, The LORD restores your sense of direction. As you look to GOD for guidance, HE enables you to do less but accomplish more.”

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” LUKE 12 : 22 – 26 

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. EPHESIANS 6 : 12 

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. PROVERBS 16 : 3

Prayer

Prayer: Lord help me to make time each day to sit quietly in your presence, putting aside all that is waiting to be done, refusing to worry about anything. To wait before working – allowing you to strengthen and prepare me to face whatever the day may bring together. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. 2 Peter‬ ‭3‬ :‭ 8‬ NLT

Timing is everything!!! Who’s time table are you on? Are you waiting for the return of The Lord? Are you ready for the return? In this scripture Peter is talking about not knowing The Lord’s timing, that to us it may seem forever but The Lord’s time is unknowing. Today I pray that we all ready up for the return of Jesus Christ and live life as though HE is coming tomorrow ……. Be Blessed

Where is your trust ? What makes you feel trustworthy? Material things have a way of giving you false trust, trusting in GOD gives you eternal security. Today’s prayer is that we would put our trust in GOD for all things, turn to GOD in all circumstances, and trust that GOD will be there for you always ……. Be Blessed
