“So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, “Abba, Father.”” Romans 8:15 NLT
Isn’t it nice to know that our salvation has sealed us in right standing with God. Today’s prayer is that we would always remember our right standing with God and when we fail, repent and reach out to our Heavenly Father…..Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“AS YOU LOOK at the day before you, you see a twisted, complicated path, with branches going off in all directions. You wonder how you can possibly find your way through that maze. Then you remember the One who is with you always, holding you by your right hand. You recall GOD’S promise to guide you with HIS counsel, and you begin to relax. As you look again at the path ahead, you notice that a peaceful fog has settled over it, obscuring your view. You can see only a few steps in front of you, so you turn your attention more fully to GOD and begin to enjoy HIS Presence. The fog is a protection for you, calling you back into the present moment. Although GOD inhabits all of space and time, you can communicate with GOD only here and now. Someday the fog will no longer be necessary, for you will have learned to keep your focus on GOD and on the path just ahead of you.”
Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. PSALM 73 : 23 – 24
Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 1 CORINTHIANS 13 : 12
Prayer: Lord when all I can see is a twisted and complicated path up ahead, gently remind me of your promises to hold me by my right hand, to guide me with your counsel, and hold onto the hope that one day you will take me home to be with you for eternity where there will be no more tears or pain or suffering. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”” Job 1:21 NIV
I believe this is one of the most misunderstood scriptures in the Bible. The God we serve is a God of love. I believe this scripture speaks of God giving us all good, and the ” takes away” pertains to sorrow, bondage, addiction, pain, depression and restlessness. Today’s prayer is that we would embrace that we serve a God of love, he is a just God but a God of love that wills good for all that have called upon the name of Jesus…… Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“APPROACH PROBLEMS with a light touch. When your mind moves toward a problem area, you tend to focus on that situation so intensely that you lose sight of GOD. You pit yourself against the difficulty as if you had to conquer it immediately. Your mind gears up for battle, and your body becomes tense and anxious. Unless you achieve total victory, you feel defeated. There is a better way. When a problem starts to overshadow your thoughts, bring this matter to GOD. Talk with The LORD about it and look at it in the Light of HIS Presence. This puts some much-needed space between you and your concern, enabling you to see from GOD’S perspective. You will be surprised at the results. Sometimes you may even laugh at yourself for being so serious about something so insignificant. You will always face trouble in this life. But more importantly, you will always have GOD with you, helping you to handle whatever you encounter. Approach problems with a light touch by viewing them in GOD’S revealing Light.”
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. PSALM 89 : 15
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” JOHN 16 : 33
Prayer: God help me to approach problems with a light touch and bring them to you. To talk with you about it and let your perspective replace mine. Help me to depend on you more this week. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.” But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.” Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.” Luke 22:31-34 NKJV
Jesus knew that Peter would deny even knowing him, but Jesus also knew that he would build his church using Peter as the main brick. In life, in certain circumstances it’s easy to deny the gospel of Jesus, but do not stand down, stand firm in your belief. Jesus never stopped loving Peter because of his actions and the same applies to you. Today I pray that the spirit of truth would fill each one with the boldness to witness Jesus to all………..
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.” James 1:19-20
Are you processing what’s going on before you react? I know I don’t all the time and that is not pleasing to God, when someone comes against you should you not hear them out instead of lashing out? Today’s prayer is that we would react to all situations as Jesus would! Have meekness but not weakness……. Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.” Psalms 23:4
We all have dark times in our lives, the daily stress, anxiety, work, home, etc. The Psalms are full of wisdom and truth, when we are in the dark the light is waiting to be revealed just believe!!! Today’s prayer is that when we are in that dark valley we would use it as a learning experience and ask God to reveal the light, not make it a reason to turn the light off……..Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“THIS IS A TIME OF ABUNDANCE in your life. Your cup runneth over with blessings. After plodding uphill for many weeks, you are now traipsing through lush meadows drenched in warm sunshine. GOD wants you to enjoy this time of ease and refreshment to the fullest. GOD delights in providing it for you. Sometimes GOD’S children hesitate to receive HIS good gifts with open hands. Feelings of false guilt creep in, telling them they don’t deserve to be so richly blessed. This is nonsense-thinking, because no one deserves anything from GOD. GOD’S kingdom is not about earning and deserving; it’s about believing and receiving. When a child of GOD’S balks at accepting HIS gifts, The LORD is deeply grieved. When you receive GOD’S abundant blessings with a grateful heart, The LORD rejoices. GOD’S pleasure in giving and your pleasure in receiving flow together in joyous harmony.”
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. PSALM 23 : 5 (KJV)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” JOHN 3 : 16
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” LUKE 11 : 9 – 10
He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all— how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? ROMANS 8 : 32
Prayer: Jesus your grace removes my old identity and replaces it with a brand-new identity – a child of God. Thank you for adopting me into your family and lavishing me with blessings and a home for eternity. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Endure suffering along with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules. And hardworking farmers should be the first to enjoy the fruit of their labor. Think about what I am saying. The Lord will help you understand all these things.” 2 Timothy 2:3-7
It’s so easy to get caught up in worldly situations! As Paul describes, we as Christians are enlisted by Christ Jesus as his soldiers, we are not to be shaken by the situation but to shake the situation!!!!! Today’s prayer is we would carry out our commission of Christ to the fullest and finish the race ……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“DO NOT LET any set of circumstances intimidate you. The more challenging your day, the more of HIS Power GOD places at your disposal. You seem to think that GOD empowers you equally each day, but this is not so. Your tendency upon awakening is to assess the difficulties ahead of you, measuring them against your average strength. This is an exercise in unreality. GOD knows what each of your days will contain, and GOD empowers you accordingly. The degree to which The LORD strengthens you on a given day is based mainly on two variables: the difficulty of your circumstances, and your willingness to depend on GOD for help. Try to view challenging days as opportunities to receive more of The LORD’S Power than usual. Look to GOD for all that you need, and watch to see what HE will do. As your day, so shall your strength be.”
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms. EPHESIANS 1 : 18 – 20
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. PSALM 105 : 4
Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be. DEUTERONOMY 33 : 25 (NKJV)
Prayer: God you know what challenges and triumphs are up ahead in my day today. When challenges come, which you told us they would, help me to view them as opportunities to receive more of your power and strength than usual. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
