“DO NOT SEARCH FOR SECURITY in the world you inhabit. You tend to make mental checklists of things you need to do in order to gain control of your life. If only you could check everything off your list, you could relax and be at peace. But the more you work to accomplish that goal, the more things crop up on your list. The harder you try, the more frustrated you become. There is a better way to find security in this life. Instead of scrutinizing your checklist, focus your attention on GOD’S Presence with you. This continual contact with GOD will keep you in HIS Peace. Moreover, The LORD will help you sort out what is important and what is not, what needs to be done now and what does not. Fix your eyes not on what is seen (your circumstances), but on what is unseen (GOD’S Presence).”

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. ISAIAH 26 : 3 (NKJV)

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 CORINTHIANS 4 : 18

Prayer: Lord, instead of scrutinizing my checklist help me to focus my attention on your presence with me. Then you will help me sort out what is important and what is not. Help me to accept there will always be things on my to do list, but none are as important as spending time with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

People can be harsh taskmasters when you give them this power over you. If GOD is the Master of your life, GOD will also be your First Love. Your serving The LORD is rooted and grounded in The LORD’s vast, unconditional Love for you. The lower you bow down before GOD, the higher GOD lifts you up into intimate an relationship with HIM. The Joy of living in GOD’S Presence outshines all other pleasures. GOD wants you to reflect HIS joyous Light by living in increasing intimacy with HIM.”

“No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.” MATTHEW 6 : 24

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. REVELATION 2 : 4

I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love. . . . EPHESIANS 3 : 16 – 17

You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. PSALM 16 : 11

Prayer: Lord help me to truly understand that the joy of living in your presence outshines all other pleasures this world could offer. To focus on pleasing you above people and reflecting your light in an increasingly dark world. A world desperate for a Savior. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Do you think you’re not good enough? Do you think you have to get your act cleaned up before you can call upon the Lord? Jesus tells us he did not call for the righteous but the sinners to repent. Most of the Christians I know (including myself) could not have been further from God when they met him and most of them are the most on fire believers I know. Today’s prayer is that we would witness our testimony to those who do not believe and let them know Jesus is waiting with arms wide open no matter where they are…….Be Blessed

“LIVING IN DEPENDENCE ON GOD is the way to enjoy abundant life. You are learning to appreciate tough times, because they amplify your awareness of GOD’S Presence. Tasks that you used to dread are becoming rich opportunities to enjoy GOD’S closeness. When you feel tired, you remember that The LORD is your Strength; you take pleasure in leaning on HIM. GOD is pleased by your tendency to turn to HIM more and more frequently, especially when you are alone. When you are with other people, you often lose sight of GOD’S Presence. Your fear of displeasing people puts you in bondage to them, and they become your primary focus. When you realize this has happened, whisper The LORD’S Name; this tiny act of trust brings GOD to the forefront of your consciousness, where HE belongs. As you bask in the blessing of GOD’S nearness, The LORD’S life can flow through you to others.”

This is abundant life! Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe. PROVERBS 29 : 25

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” JOHN 10 : 10

Prayer: God help me to live in dependence on you so that I can enjoy the abundant life, full of peace and joy, Jesus died for me to live. Help me to turn to you more and more frequently this week. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
