“If you, LORD, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.” Psalm 130 : 3 – 4 NIV
Isn’t it nice to know that the Lord keeps no record of our sin, can you imagine if he did? We would be in a world of trouble. Today’s prayer is that we would walk in obedience of the Lord and his ways, never take advantage of the Cross, but take the time daily to thank God for the Cross …… Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
““It’s only the fruit from the tree in the middle of the garden that we are not allowed to eat. God said, ‘You must not eat it or even touch it; if you do, you will die.’” “You won’t die!” the serpent replied to the woman. “God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil.”” Genesis 3 : 3 – 5 NLT
Deception is something we deal with everyday. When we know not to do something but do it anyway something has convinced us that it is OK. In this scripture the Devil convinced Eve that it was OK to eat of the fruit because what God had told her was false, but that could not have been further from the truth. Today’s prayer is that we would always know that the example that God has set for us is nothing but truth!!! Stand strong in the truth you know and resist the Devil and he has to flee ……. Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
“RELAX IN GOD’S HEALING PRESENCE. As you spend time with GOD, your thoughts tend to jump ahead to today’s plans and problems. Bring your mind back to The LORD for refreshment and renewal. Let the Light of GOD’S Presence soak into you, as you focus your thoughts on HIM. Thus GOD equips you to face whatever the day brings. This sacrifice of time pleases The LORD and strengthens you. Do not skimp on your time together. Resist the clamor of tasks waiting to be done. You have chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from you.”
Scripture
Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always. PSALM 105 : 4
She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” LUKE 10 : 39 – 42
Personal Note
I know the struggle of spending time with The LORD can be. Due to the nature of my job I sometimes wake up to requests of tasks needing to be done on an urgent basis. My desire to take care of work quickly sometimes is a distraction to my daily time spent with The LORD in the morning. It is hard sometimes to say to myself “Task / Person X can wait while I spend time in prayer / Bible study” – Some days / tasks are easier to set aside than others
Prayer
Prayer: Lord, help me rest in Your healing presence. Teach me to set aside the rush of daily tasks and choose what is better—time with You. In Your presence, You reveal what truly matters and provide the strength, my daily bread, to accomplish it well. With You, I can do less and accomplish more. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!” 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
It’s a New Year and 2024 is gone!!! 2025 is a New Year just as we are when we found Jesus!!! It’s up to us how we choose to navigate 2025, do we do it ourselves or do we turn to the Father for direction? Today’s prayer is that 2025 would be a year of blessings, growing, getting closer to God so we can look back on 2025 when it’s over and just smile …… Be Blessed and Happy New Year all
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
“COME TO THE LORD with a teachable spirit, eager to be changed. A close walk with GOD is a life of continual newness. Do not cling to old ways as you step into a new year. Instead, seek The LORD’S Face with an open mind, knowing that your journey with GOD involves being transformed by the renewing of your mind. As you focus your thoughts on GOD, be aware that GOD is fully attentive to you. The LORD sees you with a steady eye, because HIS attention span is infinite. GOD knows and understands you completely; GOD’S thoughts embrace you in everlasting Love. The LORD also knows the plans HE has for you: plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Give yourself fully to this adventure of increasing attentiveness to GOD’S Presence.”
Scripture
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12 : 2
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” JEREMIAH 29 : 11
Prayer
Prayer: God help me to have a teachable spirit, ready to be changed this year. To seek your face with an open mind, eager to be transformed by the renewing of my mind. Then I will be able to know what your will is for me Lord. Your good, pleasing, and perfect will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15 : 4 - 5
Have you ever noticed the further you get from God the worse things get? This scripture reminds me of gardening!! If you plant a tree and never water or fertilize it what happens? Death!!! Even if you water it and fertilize it just enough to keep it alive it looks bare and unhealthy. Same with us when we distance ourselves from God we are not our best selves. Today’s prayer is that we would be as close to God as we can get, stay fed and fertilized in The Word and produce our best looking fruits ….. Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
“AS THIS NEW YEAR BEGINS, receive GOD’S Peace. This is still your deepest need, and The LORD, your Prince of Peace, longs to pour Himself into your neediness. GOD’S abundance and your emptiness are a perfect match. The LORD designed you to have no sufficiency of your own. GOD created you as a jar of clay set apart for sacred use. The LORD wants you to be filled with HIS very Being, permeated through and through with Peace. Thank GOD for HIS peaceful Presence, regardless of your feelings. Whisper The LORD’S Name in loving tenderness. GOD’S Peace, which lives continually in your spirit, will gradually work its way through your entire being.”
Scripture
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. ISAIAH 9 : 6
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 2 CORINTHIANS 4 : 7
But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. JOHN 14 : 26 – 27
Prayer
Prayer: Lord your peace is my deepest need. Help me to spend time with you, sitting with you in your presence, each day while you fill me. Help me to let go of my ways and surrender fully to your ways this new year. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.” Colossians 3 : 1 - 2 NLT
Where do your thoughts live on things that make you happy for an hour? Are your thoughts on earthly possessions or things of Heaven? Today’s prayer is we would always think of things of Heaven not things of earth! Possessions are nice but should not consume your thoughts ….. Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
“GOD IS LEADING YOU along a way that is uniquely right for you. The closer to GOD you grow, the more fully you become your true self — the one GOD designed you to be. Because you are one of a kind, the path you are traveling with The LORD diverges increasingly from that of other people. However, in GOD’S mysterious wisdom and ways, The LORD enables you to follow this solitary path while staying in close contact with others. In fact, the more completely you devote yourself to The LORD, the more freely you can love people. Marvel at the beauty of a life intertwined with GOD’S Presence. Rejoice as you journey together in intimate communion. Enjoy the adventure of finding yourself through losing yourself in GOD.”
Scripture
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 CORINTHIANS 5 : 17
For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. EPHESIANS 2 : 10
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 JOHN 4 : 7 – 8
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. JOHN 15 : 4
Prayer
Prayer: Lord help me to abide in you so I can bear much fruit. The closer to you I grow, the more I become like Christ, the one you designed me to be like. And the better I can love others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Lamentations 3 : 22 – 23 NLT
Today is a new day, every morning we get a fresh start. It may seem like the trials will never end but God is with us and his love and mercy never stop. Yesterday is gone, today is new. Today I pray that we would give God thanks for everyday and know that he will see us through…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17
