If you gaze too long at your circumstances, you will become dizzy and confused. Look to GOD, refreshing yourself in HIS Presence, and your steps will be steady and sure.”
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. HEBREWS 1 2 : 2

Sometimes it seems like the attacks are never ending, we are surrounded by evil all day every day, but in this scripture Paul writes take heart God will deliver us from all evil. Gods plan for us is not to suffer but to have peace and joy knowing what awaits us when this life is done. Paul was such an extraordinary example of what it means to be a soldier of Christ. This scripture speaks about upholding your brothers and sisters in Christ not beating them down. JESUS CHRIST died to set you free, and that includes freedom from compulsive planning. When your mind spins with a multitude of thoughts, you cannot hear GOD’S voice. A mind preoccupied with planning pays homage to the idol of control. Turn from this idolatry back to The LORD. Listen to GOD and live abundantly!”

Prayer: Lord thank you that you are a speaking God. Even now, you speak to me through your word and your Holy Spirit and through Godly people. We tend to take all the glory when we achieve something, Jesus gave us the chance to live through his loving sacrifice so how can we not give him the glory? To be self righteous is to be distant from God. Though CHRIST, The LORD’s blood has fully redeemed you, your mind is the last bastion of rebellion. Open yourself to GOD’S radiant Presence, letting HIS Light permeate your thinking. When GOD’S Holy Spirit is controlling your mind, you are filled with Life and Peace.”

Prayer: Holy Spirit, control my mind and teach me the discipline of holding my tongue. Fill me with thoughts that align with your word and with life and peace only you can provide. And when my thoughts wander from truth, help me to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. In Christ’s name I pray. Amen.

Prayer: Lord with all the distractions lobbying for my attention, help me to be intentional in spending time with you in your living word, the only thing that fills me with true joy and peace. To not be afraid and hear you saying, be still my restless soul. Thank you sweet Jesus. It’s in your name I pray. Amen.

Oh to live constantly in God’s will, what a life that would be, as for me I try to do everything I can to please God in all I do and the sad part is I fail daily!!!! God’s grace is there for us as we fail and miss the mark. It’s up to us to put forth the effort to miss the mark less and less.
