THANKFULNESS takes the sting out of adversity. That is why GOD has instructed you to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give GOD thanks (regardless of your feelings), and GOD gives you Joy (regardless of your circumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience—at times, blind obedience. To people who don’t know GOD intimately, it can seem irrational and even impossible to thank The LORD for heartrending hardships. Nonetheless, those who obey GOD in this way are invariably blessed, even though difficulties may remain. Thankfulness opens your heart to GOD’S Presence and your mind to HIS thoughts. You may still be in the same place, with the same set of circumstances, but it is as if a light has been switched on, enabling you to see from The LORD’S perspective. It is this Light of GOD’S Presence that removes the sting from adversity.”

THANK GOD THROUGHOUT THIS DAY for HIS Presence and HIS Peace. These are gifts of supernatural proportions. Ever since the resurrection, The LORD JESUS CHRIST, has comforted HIS followers with these messages: “Peace be with you, and I am with you always” and “Listen as I offer you My Peace and Presence in full measure”. The best way to receive these glorious gifts is to thank The LORD for them. It is impossible to spend too much time thanking and praising GOD. GOD created you first and foremost to glorify HIM. Thanksgiving and praise put you in a proper relationship with GOD, opening the way for GOD’S riches to flow into you. As you thank The LORD for HIS Presence and Peace, you appropriate GOD’S richest gifts.”
