“LEARN TO APPRECIATE difficult days. Be stimulated by the challenges you encounter along your way. As you journey through rough terrain with GOD, gain confidence from your knowledge that together you can handle anything. This knowledge consists of three parts: your relationship with GOD, promises in the Bible, and past experiences of coping successfully during hard times. Look back on your life, and see how GOD has helped you through difficult days. If you are tempted to think, “Yes, but that was then, and this is now, ” remember who GOD is! Although you and your circumstances may change dramatically, GOD remains the same throughout time and eternity. This is the basis of your confidence. In GOD’S Presence you live and move and have your being.”

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” ISAIAH 41 : 10

But you remain the same, and your years will never end. PSALM 102 : 27

Prayer: Lord on the days and seasons of rough terrain, help me to gain confidence in your presence with me, your promises, and from times past. Great is your faithfulness to me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“SIT QUIETLY WITH GOD, letting all your fears and worries bubble up to the surface of your consciousness. There, in the Light of GOD’S Presence, the bubbles pop and disappear. However, some fears surface over and over again, especially fear of the future. You tend to project yourself mentally into the next day, week, month, year, decade; and you visualize yourself coping badly in those times. What you are seeing is a false image, because it doesn’t include The LORD. Those gloomy times that you imagine will not come to pass, since GOD’S Presence will be with you at all times. When a future-oriented worry assails you, capture it and disarm it by suffusing the Light of The LORD’S Presence into that mental image. Say to yourself, “Jesus will be with me then and there. With His help, I can cope!” Then, come home to the present moment, where you can enjoy Peace in The LORD’S Presence.”

Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” LUKE 12 : 22 – 26

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” DEUTERONOMY 31 : 6

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 2 CORINTHIANS 10 : 5

Prayer: Lord help me to make time to sit quietly in your presence everyday, letting all my fears and worries bubble up to the surface where the light of your presence dissipates them. Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Think back to your lowest point in life!!! Now look at your life since then, is it better? Or worse? Well the trials of life I believe are stepping stones and mine have been very rocky but those rocks shaped me to who I have become!!! A lot of hating going on towards God everyday, but are we hating back? Do we need to fight God’s battles? I don’t think so. There will be a day when we all answer to him let that be!!!! “WALK PEACEFULLY WITH GOD through this day. You are wondering how you will cope with all that is expected of you. You must traverse this day like any other: one step at a time. Instead of mentally rehearsing how you will do this or that, keep your mind on GOD’S Presence and on taking the next step. The more demanding your day, the more help you can expect from The LORD. This is a training opportunity, since GOD designed you for deep dependence on your Shepherd-King. Challenging times wake you up and amplify your awareness of needing GOD’S help. When you don’t know what to do, wait while GOD opens the way before you. Trust that The LORD knows what HE is doing, and be ready to follow HIS lead. GOD will give strength to you, and GOD will bless you with Peace.”

The LORD replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” EXODUS 33 : 14

The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days. DEUTERONOMY 33 : 25

May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Prayer: Lord help me to view challenging times as reminders of how much I need your help. Give me strength and peace to do your will today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

EVERY TIME something thwarts your plans or desires, use that as a reminder to communicate with GOD. This practice has several benefits. The first is obvious: Talking with GOD blesses you and strengthens your relationship. Another benefit is that disappointments, instead of dragging you down, are transformed into opportunities for good. This transformation removes the sting from difficult circumstances, making it possible to be joyful in the midst of adversity. Begin by practicing this discipline in all the little disappointments of daily life. It is often these minor setbacks that draw you away from GOD’S Presence. When you re-frame setbacks as opportunities, you find that you gain much more than you have lost. It is only after much training that you can accept major losses in this positive way. But it is possible to attain the perspective of the apostle Paul, who wrote: “Compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus, I consider everything I once treasured to be as insignificant as rubbish.”

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. COLOSSIANS 4 : 2

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ. PHILIPPIANS 3 : 7 – 8

Prayer: God, whenever something thwarts my plans, help me to use that as a reminder to talk with you about it. That way it not only removes the sting, it also keeps me at peace despite any circumstance. Thank you Jesus. My prince of peace. Amen.

“GROW STRONG in the Light of GOD’S Presence. Your weakness does not repel GOD. On the contrary, it attracts HIS Power, which is always available to flow into a yielded heart. Do not condemn yourself for your constant need of help. Instead, come to GOD with your gaping neediness; let the Light of The LORD’S Love fill you. A yielded heart does not whine or rebel when the going gets rough. It musters the courage to thank GOD even during hard times. Yielding yourself to GOD’S will is ultimately an act of trust. In quietness and trust is your strength.”

The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. The LORD protects the simplehearted; when I was in great need, he saved me. Be at rest once more, O my soul, for the LORD has been good to you. PSALM 116 : 5 – 7

always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. EPHESIANS 5 : 20

This is what the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it.” ISAIAH 30 : 15

Prayer: God, please yield my heart to you and your will. I am in constant need of your help. Help me to recognize when the enemy is spewing lies and when it happens help me to quickly turn to you for rest once more. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
