This is a lofty goal; you aim toward it but never fully achieve it in this life. Don’t let feelings of failure weigh you down. Instead, try to see yourself as The LORD sees you. First of all, GOD is delighted by your deep desire to walk closely with HIM through your life. The LORD is pleased each time you initiate communication with HIM. In addition, GOD notices the progress you have made since you first resolved to live in HIS Presence. When you realize that your mind has wandered away from GOD, don’t be alarmed or surprised. You live in a world that has been rigged to distract you. Each time you plow your way through the massive distractions to communicate with GOD, you achieve a victory. Rejoice in these tiny triumphs, and they will increasingly light up your days.”

Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. ROMANS 8 : 33 – 34

Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. HEBREWS 4 : 14 – 16

Prayer: Jesus I am so grateful for your grace and patience. And because you lived on earth as man, you understand every temptation, distraction, and feeling I could ever have. I can come to you for every need. I rest in your loving arms. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

You need the help of GOD’S Holy Spirit to respond appropriately. Ask The LORD’S Holy Spirit to think through you, live through you, love through you. The LORD is alive within you in the Person of the Holy Spirit. If you respond to others’ needs through your unaided thought processes, you offer them dry crumbs. When the Holy Spirit empowers your listening and speaking, The LORD’S streams of living water flow through you to other people. Be a channel of GOD’S Love, Joy, and Peace by listening to The LORD as you listen to others.”

Prayer: Lord thank you for your Holy Spirit who is God and knows everything about everything, past, present, and future – and who lives in me. Holy Spirit, think through me, live through me, and love through me – help me to listen and speak what you tell me. Use me Lord to be an encouragement to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

DO NOT EXPECT to be treated fairly in this life. People will say and do hurtful things to you, things that you don’t deserve. When someone mistreats you, try to view it as an opportunity to grow in grace. See how quickly you can forgive the one who has wounded you. Don’t be concerned about setting the record straight. Instead of obsessing about other people’s opinions of you, keep your focus on GOD. Ultimately, it is GOD’S view of you that counts. As you concentrate on relating to The LORD, remember that GOD has clothed you in HIS righteousness and holiness. GOD’S see you attired in these radiant garments, which Jesus Christ, The LORD bought for you with HIS blood. This also is not fair; it is a pure gift. When others treat you unfairly, remember that GOD’S ways with you are much better than fair. GOD’S ways are Peace and Love, which The LORD has poured out into your heart by HIS Holy Spirit.”

Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. COLOSSIANS 3 : 13

I delight greatly in the LORD; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. ISAIAH 61 : 10

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. EPHESIANS 1 : 7 – 8

And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. ROMANS 5 : 5

Prayer: Lord thank you for reminding me not to expect to be treated fairly in this life. Help me to forgive others just as you have forgiven me time and time again. Thank you for your amazing grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
