“WORSHIP GOD ONLY. Idolatry has always been the downfall of GOD’S people. GOD makes no secrets about being a jealous God. Current idols are more subtle than ancient ones, because today’s false gods are often outside the field of religion. People, possessions, status, and self-glorifying are some of the most popular deities today. Beware of bowing down before these things. False gods never satisfy; instead, they stir up lust for more and more. When you seek GOD instead of the world’s idols, you experience The LORD’s Joy and Peace. These intangibles quench the thirst of your soul, providing deep satisfaction. The glitter of the world is tinny and temporal. The Light of GOD’s Presence is brilliant and everlasting. Walk in the Light with GOD. Thus you become a beacon through whom others are drawn to The LORD.”

“You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.” EXODUS 20 : 4 – 5

You are my lamp, O LORD; the LORD turns my darkness into light. 2 SAMUEL 22 : 29

Prayer: Lord help me to seek you instead of the world’s idols. In your presence is fullness of joy. Only you can truly satisfy me. All else will fall short. Show me any area of my life I need to de-throne and surrender to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Romans 8:5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8:5 NKJV

Living in the world today makes it tough to not conform to the ways of the world . It was never meant for the Christian to live like the world. In this scripture it says if you live by the flesh you will do things of the flesh such as lust, corruption, bad attitude, etc….. But the spirit within us is the spirit of Jesus and that spirit is perfect. Listen to what the spirit is telling you and confess with your mouth you are perfected by the spirit that lives within you!!!! Watch how the fleshly desires fade away……..Be Blessed

“RELAX IN GOD’S PEACEFUL PRESENCE. Do not bring performance pressures into the sacred space of communion. When you are with someone you trust completely, you feel free to be yourself. This is one of the joys of true friendship. Though GOD is Lord of lords and King of kings, GOD also desires to be your intimate Friend. When you are tense or pretentious in your relationship, GOD feels hurt. GOD knows the worst about you, but HE also sees the best in you. The LORD longs for you to trust HIM enough to be fully yourself with HIM. When you are real with GOD, GOD is able to bring out the best in you: the very gifts GOD has planted in your soul. Relax, and enjoy your friendship.”

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. JOHN 15 : 13 – 15

Prayer: God help me to be completely myself and open as I spend time with you. Ready for what you have for me each day. I’m in awe that the creator of the universe, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords wants to be my friend. What a privilege and an honor. Help me to take you up on that special offer. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

What things do you long for? New house, New car, Money? Are these things not temporary? What are the things above? Things above are the things of God. God’s will for us is to love like Christ. Today’s prayer is that we would not strive for earthly possessions but strive to be more like Jesus…….Be Blessed

Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews‬ ‭11‬:‭1‬ NLT

We are half way through the year and for some all just seems the same. Faith in action will cause change if you believe, waiting for the end of the year won’t change the year!!! The change starts now. Today I pray that we would have the faith to change the now and have a life filled with health, joy, wealth, and love…..Be Blessed

Forgiveness is one of the hardest things in the world to do when you are not in constant communication with God, when you are not meditating daily in his word. When you are in continual prayer forgiveness becomes much easier, just think if God would not have sent his Son in the place of our sin!!! Devastating. Today’s prayer is that we would never end our day with anger in our hearts or anything against someone, forgive as you have been forgiven……..Be Blessed

TRUST GOD IN ALL YOUR THOUGHTS. – PSALM 20 : 7, 1 JOHN 1 : 9, LUKE 1 : 79

“TRUST GOD IN ALL YOUR THOUGHTS. GOD knows that some thoughts are unconscious or semiconscious, and HE does not hold you responsible for those. But you can direct conscious thoughts much more than you may realize. Practice thinking in certain ways—trusting GOD, thanking GOD—and those thoughts become more natural. Reject negative or sinful thoughts as soon as you become aware of them. Don’t try to hide them from The LORD; confess them and leave them with HIM. Go on your way lightheartedly. This method of controlling your thoughts will keep your mind in GOD’S Presence and your feet on the path of Peace.”

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. PSALM 20 : 7

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 JOHN 1 : 9

. . . to shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” LUKE 1 : 79

Prayer: God guide my feet and my thoughts into the path of peace. Help me to practice trusting you and thanking you more and more. You are in control. Nothing is a surprise to you. I trust your plan Jesus. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“THE LORD IS YOUR FATHER-GOD. Listen to GOD! Learn what it means to be a child of the everlasting King. Your richest duty is devotion to GOD. This duty is such a joyous privilege that it feels like a luxury. You tend to feel guilty about pushing back the boundaries of your life to make space for time alone with The LORD. The world is waiting to squeeze you into its mold and to crowd out time devoted to GOD. The ways of the world have also warped your conscience, which punishes you for doing the very thing that pleases GOD most: seeking HIS Face. Listen to The LORD above the clamor of voices trying to distract you. Ask GOD’S Holy Spirit to control your mind, for He and GOD work in perfect harmony. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. ROMANS 8 : 15 – 16

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” EXODUS 3 : 5

Prayer: Lord help me to push back the boundaries of my life to make space for time alone with you. When I do, I am blessed beyond measure. Thank you Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

How are you reacting to situations that catch you off guard? Are you being led by a loving God, or by a worldly reaction? We as believers need to strive to be like Jesus in our every moment.
