Galatians‬ ‭5‬ :‭ 16 – 17

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Galatians‬ ‭5‬ :‭ 16 – 17‬ NLT

Need direction? Always trying to do better but seem to stay the same? This scripture says to let The Holy Spirit direct you and then you won’t be caught in the sinful nature. Today I pray we all would let The Holy Spirit direct our paths and see how life becomes more fulfilling ……. Be Blessed

“SEEK GOD’S FACE, and you will find all that you have longed for. The deepest yearnings of your heart are for intimacy with The LORD. GOD knows, because GOD designed you to desire HIM. Do not feel guilty about taking time to be still in The LORD’S Presence. You are simply responding to the tugs of divinity within you. GOD made you in HIS image, and GOD hid Heaven in your heart. Your yearning for The LORD is a form of homesickness: longing for your true home in heaven. Do not be afraid to be different from other people. The path GOD has called you to travel is exquisitely right for you. The more closely you follow The LORD’S leading, the more fully HE can develop your gifts. To follow GOD wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your desire to please other people. However, your closeness to GOD will bless others by enabling you to shine brightly in this dark world.”

Prayer

Prayer: Lord, draw my heart closer to You and help me seek You above everything else. Free me from the need to please others, and give me the courage to follow wherever You lead. As I walk closely with You, let my life reflect Your love and bring You glory. Amen.

Romans 8 : 5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8 : 5 NKJV

Living in the world today makes it tough to not conform to the ways of the world . It was never meant for the Christian to live like the world. In this scripture it says if you live by the flesh you will do things of the flesh such as lust,corruption, bad attitude, etc ….. But The Holy Spirit within us is the spirit of JESUS CHRIST and that Spirit is perfect. Today’s prayer is that we would Listen to what The Holy Spirit is telling us and confess with your mouth you are perfected by the spirit that lives within you!!!! Watch how the fleshly desires fade away …….. Be Blessed!!

But the longer people push GOD into the background of their lives, the harder it is for them to find HIM. You live among people who glorify busyness; they have made time a tyrant that controls their lives. Even those who know GOD as Savior tend to march to the tempo of the world. They have bought into the illusion that more is always better: more meetings, more programs, more activity. GOD has called you to follow HIM on a solitary path, making time alone with The LORD your highest priority and deepest Joy. It is a pathway largely unappreciated and often despised. However, you have chosen the better thing, which will never be taken away from you. Moreover, as you walk close to GOD, HE can bless others through you.”

Prayer

Prayer: God, draw me away from the noise and hurry of the world. Teach me to treasure quiet time with You more than anything else. Help me resist the pull of busyness and remember that You are my deepest joy. As I walk closely with You, bless others through me. Amen.

Are you waiting for something to happen? Praying for something new ? Are you wondering “Is GOD listening?”. In this scripture it says in GOD’S timing. Sometimes what we are wanting or praying for doesn’t come when we expect, but it arrives at just the right time — in GOD’S perfect timing. JESUS CHRIST always prayed if it be Your will Father, so should we. Today I pray that we would understand that GOD has us where we are for a reason, and in HIS timing GOD will give us the desires of our hearts, there is a reason for the season you’re in ….. “Now all the people gathered together as one man in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded Israel.” ‭‭Nehemiah‬ ‭8 : 1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

People have been craving GOD’S Word since the beginning, and I believe that is still the case. I believe there are a lot of Christians that are intimidated by churches today because of the lack of welcome and the lack of the truth of GOD’S Word. Today’s prayer is that we would all welcome newcomers into our church and make sure they feel like part of a family …… Be Blessed and this Sunday welcome someone you don’t know

2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬ :‭ 16 – 17‬

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word. 2 Thessalonians‬ ‭2‬ :‭ 16 – 17‬ NIV

What is encouraging to you? The word Encourage means to give support, confidence, give hope. GOD has given us encouragement through HIS Son JESUS CHRIST and that’s all we need. Today’s prayer is that we would stay focused on Encouraging promise that The LORD, JESUS CHRIST gave us, don’t look to the world for hope, look to The LORD for eternal hope …….. Be Blessed !

SELF-PITY IS A SLIMY, BOTTOMLESS PIT. | PSALM 40 : 2 – 3, PSALM 42 : 5, PSALM 147 : 11

“SELF-PITY IS A SLIMY, BOTTOMLESS PIT. Once you fall in, you tend to go deeper and deeper into the mire. As you slide down those slippery walls, you are well on your way to depression, and the darkness is profound. Your only hope is to look up and see the Light of GOD’S Presence shining down on you. Though the Light looks dim from your perspective, deep in the pit, those rays of hope can reach you at any depth. While you focus on GOD in trust, you rise ever so slowly out of the abyss of despair. Finally, you can reach up and grasp GOD’S hand. The LORD will pull you out into the Light again. The LORD will gently cleanse you, washing off the clinging mire. GOD will cover you with HIS righteousness and walk with you down the path of Life.”

Scripture

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD. PSALM 40 : 2 – 3 

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance. PSALM 42 : 5 (NKJV) 

The LORD delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love. PSALM 147 : 11

Prayer

Prayer: GOD, when I feel stuck in self-pity or despair, help me to look up toward Your Light. Reach into my darkness, lift me with Your mercy, and remind me I’m never too far gone for Your grace. Cover me in Your love, and lead me back into Life with You. Amen.

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13 : 16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

You know the saying “It is better to give than to receive ” well we need to do all we can to live by these words. Everything we have is a blessing from GOD, therefore how can we not give to those in need? Today’s prayer is that we would have the faith to know that GOD will provide for HIS faithful and please GOD by giving to someone in need ……. Be Blessed!!

“DO NOT WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW! This is not a suggestion, but a command. GOD divided time into days and nights, so that you would have manageable portions of life to handle. GOD’S grace is sufficient for you, but its sufficiency is for only one day at a time. When you worry about the future, you heap day upon day of troubles onto your flimsy frame. You stagger under this heavy load, which GOD never intended you to carry. Throw off this oppressive burden with one quick thrust of trust. Anxious thoughts meander about and crisscross in your brain, but trusting GOD brings you directly into HIS Presence. As you thus affirm your faith, shackles of worry fall off instantly. Enjoy GOD’S Presence continually by trusting HIM at all times.”

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. MATTHEW 6 : 34 

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 CORINTHIANS 12 : 9 

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. PSALM 62 : 8 (NKJV)

Prayer

Prayer: Jesus, help me to stop dragging tomorrow’s worries into today. Teach me to trust You with this one day, believing Your grace is enough. As I lean into You, quiet my anxious thoughts and fill me with Your peace. Amen.
