Daily Devotional Video 3/31/2020 – PSALM 34 : 8, GENESIS 16 : 13 – 14, JOHN 20 : 19, COLOSSIANS 3 : 15

“TASTE AND SEE THAT GOD IS GOOD.The more intimately you experience The LORD, the more convinced you become of HIS goodness. GOD is the Living One who sees you and longs to participate in your life. GOD is training you to find HIM in each moment and to be a channel of The LORD’S loving Presence. Sometimes GOD’S blessings come to you in mysterious ways: through pain and trouble. At such times you can know The LORD’S goodness only through your trust in GOD. Understanding will fail you, but trust will keep you close to GOD. Thank The LORD for the gift of HIS Peace, a gift of such immense proportions that you cannot fathom its depth or breadth. When JESUS CHRIST appeared to HIS disciples after the resurrection, it was Peace that The LORD communicated first of all. CHRIST knew this was their deepest need: to calm their fears and clear their minds. GOD also speaks Peace to you, for HE knows your anxious thoughts. Listen to GOD! Tune out other voices, so that you can hear The LORD more clearly. GOD designed you to dwell in Peace all day, every day. Draw near to GOD; receive HIS Peace.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. PSALM 34 : 8

So she called the name of the LORD who spoke to her, You are a God of seeing, for she said, Truly here I have seen him who looks after me. Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi; it lies between Kadesh and Bered. GENESIS 16 : 13 – 14 (ESV)

On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” JOHN 20 : 19

Prayer: Jesus thank you for reminding me that peace is only found in you. I won’t find it anywhere else. Fill me with your peace today as I spend time with you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Devotional Video 3/30/2020 – PROVERBS 3 : 5, DEUTERONOMY 33 : 27, JEREMIAH 29 : 13 – 14

“GOD IS TAKING CARE OF YOU. Trust GOD at all times. Trust GOD in all circumstances. Trust GOD with all your heart. When you are weary and everything seems to be going wrong, you can still utter these four words: “I trust You, Jesus.” By doing so, you release matters into The LORD’S control, and you fall back into the security of CHRIST’S everlasting arms. Before you arise from your bed in the morning, The LORD has already arranged the events of your day. Every day provides many opportunities for you to learn GOD’S ways and grow closer to HIM. Signs of GOD’S Presence brighten even the dullest day when you have eyes that really see. Search for GOD as for hidden treasure. GOD will be found by you.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. PROVERBS 3 : 5

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, “Destroy him!” DEUTERONOMY 33 : 27

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the LORD, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” JEREMIAH 29 : 13 – 14

Prayer: Jesus thank you for always taking care of me. As we approach Easter, help me to remember, talk to my kids about, and reflect on the significance of your journey to and through the grave. You took care of me then with the ultimate sacrifice. You gave your life, now I give you mine. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Devotional Video 3/27/2020 – ROMANS 12 : 2, REVELATION 2 : 4, COLOSSIANS 1 : 27

“BE STILL IN GOD’S PRESENCE, even though countless tasks clamor for your attention. Nothing is as important as spending time with GOD. While you wait in GOD’S Presence, The LORD do HIS best work within you: transforming you by the renewing of your mind. If you skimp on this time with GOD, you may plunge headlong into the wrong activities, missing the richness of what GOD has planned for you. Do not seek GOD primarily for what HE can give you. Remember that GOD, the Giver, is infinitely greater than any gift HE might impart to you. Though The LORD delights in blessing HIS children, The LORD is deeply grieved when HIS blessings become idols in their hearts. Anything can be an idol if it distracts you from GOD as your First Love. When GOD is the ultimate Desire of your heart, you are safe from the danger of idolatry. As you wait in The LORD’S Presence, enjoy the greatest gift of all: Christ in you, the hope of Glory!” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. ROMANS 12 : 2

Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken your first love. REVELATION 2 : 4

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. COLOSSIANS 1 : 27

Prayer: God I know that nothing is as important than spending time with you. Help me to push back the clamor and to do lists of the day and sit in your presence, allowing you to renew my mind and see things more from your perspective. What a precious gift. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Devotional Video 3/26/2020 – LAMENTATIONS 3 : 24 – 26, ISAIAH 40 : 31, PSALM 16 : 11

“WAITING ON GOD means directing your attention to GOD in hopeful anticipation of what The LORD will do. It entails trusting GOD with every fiber of your being, instead of trying to figure things out yourself. Waiting on GOD is the way HE designed you to live: all day, every day. GOD created you to stay conscious of HIM as you go about your daily duties. GOD has promised many blessings to those who wait on HIM: renewed strength, living above one’s circumstances, resurgence of hope, awareness of GOD’S continual Presence. Waiting on GOD enables you to glorify GOD by living in deep dependence on HIM, ready to do HIS will. It also helps you to enjoy GOD; in GOD’S Presence is fullness of Joy.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The LORD is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD. LAMENTATIONS 3 : 24 – 26

But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. ISAIAH 40 : 31

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. PSALM 16 : 11 (NKJV)

Prayer: Lord help me to stay more conscious of you throughout the day today. And put my hope in you alone, waiting in anticipation of what you will do next. Renew my strength Lord, help me to live above my circumstances and may everything I say and do glorify you today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Devotional Video 3/25/2020 – 1 CORINTHIANS 10 : 10, HEBREWS 12 : 28 – 29

“LET THANKFULNESS TEMPER ALL YOUR THOUGHTS. A thankful mind-set keeps you in touch with GOD. GOD hates it when HIS children grumble, casually despising HIS sovereignty. Thankfulness is a safeguard against this deadly sin. Furthermore, a grateful attitude becomes a grid through which you perceive life. Gratitude enables you to see the Light of GOD’S Presence shining on all your circumstances. Cultivate a thankful heart, for this glorifies GOD and fills you with Joy.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel. 1 CORINTHIANS 10 : 10

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” HEBREWS 12 : 28 – 29

Prayer: Lord help me to cultivate a thankful heart, allowing me to see the light of your presence shining on all my circumstances. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

“THIS IS A TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHEN YOU MUST LEARN TO LET GO: of loved ones, of possessions, of control. In order to let go of something that is precious to you, you need to rest in The LORD’S Presence, where you are complete. Take time to bask in the Light of GOD’S Love. As you relax more and more, your grasping hand gradually opens up, releasing your prized possession into The LORD’S care. You can feel secure, even in the midst of cataclysmic changes, through awareness of GOD’S continual Presence. The One who never leaves you is the same One who never changes: GOD is the same yesterday, today, and forever. As you release more and more things into The LORD’S care, remember that GOD never lets go of your hand. Herein lies your security, which no one and no circumstance can take from you.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. PSALM 89 : 15

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. HEBREWS 13 : 8

“For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” ISAIAH 41 : 13

Prayer: God help me to not hold onto anything tighter than I hold onto you. Help me to rest in your presence, the only place where I am complete – and let go. Let me get out of the cockpit and allow you to have control. Remind me again and again when I forget. Thank you for your grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Daily Devotional Video 3/23/2020 – PSALM 36 : 7 – 9, PSALM 132 : 15, JOHN 6 : 12 – 13

“THE LORD IS A GOD of both intricate detail and overflowing abundance. When you entrust the details of your life to The LORD, you are surprised by how thoroughly HE answers your petitions. GOD takes pleasure in hearing your prayers, so feel free to bring The LORD all your requests. The more you pray, the more answers you can receive. Best of all, your faith is strengthened as you see how precisely GOD responds to your specific prayers. Because GOD is infinite in all HIS ways, you need not fear that The LORD will run out of resources. Abundance is at the very heart of who GOD is. Come to GOD in joyful expectation of receiving all you need—and sometimes much more! The LORD delights in showering blessings on HIS beloved children. Come to GOD with open hands and heart, ready to receive all The LORD has for you.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

How priceless is your unfailing love! Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings. They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights. For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light. PSALM 36 : 7 – 9

I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor will I satisfy with food. PSALM 132 : 15

Prayer: Lord I trust you and I’m amazed that you care about every detail of my life.
