REST IN GOD’S PRESENCE WHEN you need refreshment. | PROVERBS 3 : 5, ISAIAH 30 : 15

“REST IN GOD’S PRESENCE WHEN you need refreshment. Resting is not necessarily idleness, as people often perceive it. When you relax in GOD’S company, you are demonstrating trust in GOD. Trust is a rich word, laden with meaning and direction for your life. The LORD wants you to lean on, trust, and be confident in HIM. When you lean on GOD for support, HE delights in your trusting confidence. Many people turn away from The LORD when they are exhausted. They associate GOD with duty and diligence, so they try to hide from GOD’S Presence when they need a break from work. How this saddens The LORD! As GOD spoke through HIS prophet Isaiah: “In returning to The LORD and resting in HIM you shall be saved; in quietness and trust shall be your strength.”

Scripture

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. PROVERBS 3 : 5

For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength. But you were unwilling, ISAIAH 30 : 15

Prayer

Prayer: God help me to rest in you when I’m tired and need refreshment. Quietness and trust in you is my strength. You alone can satisfy my thirsty soul. Create in me a desire to grow closer to you. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Galatians‬ ‭5‬ :‭ 16 – 17

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions. Galatians‬ ‭5‬ :‭ 16 – 17‬ NLT

Need direction? Always trying to do better but seem to stay the same? This scripture says to let The Holy Spirit direct you and then you won’t be caught in the sinful nature. Today I pray we all would let The Holy Spirit direct our paths and see how life becomes more fulfilling ……. Be Blessed

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17

SEEK GOD’S FACE, and you will find all that you have longed for. | PSALM 42 : 1 – 2, PSALM 34 : 5, PHILIPPIANS 2 : 15

“SEEK GOD’S FACE, and you will find all that you have longed for. The deepest yearnings of your heart are for intimacy with The LORD. GOD knows, because GOD designed you to desire HIM. Do not feel guilty about taking time to be still in The LORD’S Presence. You are simply responding to the tugs of divinity within you. GOD made you in HIS image, and GOD hid Heaven in your heart. Your yearning for The LORD is a form of homesickness: longing for your true home in heaven. Do not be afraid to be different from other people. The path GOD has called you to travel is exquisitely right for you. The more closely you follow The LORD’S leading, the more fully HE can develop your gifts. To follow GOD wholeheartedly, you must relinquish your desire to please other people. However, your closeness to GOD will bless others by enabling you to shine brightly in this dark world.”

Scripture

As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? PSALM 42 : 1 – 2

Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. PSALM 34 : 5

. . . so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe. PHILIPPIANS 2 : 15

Prayer

Prayer: Lord, draw my heart closer to You and help me seek You above everything else. Free me from the need to please others, and give me the courage to follow wherever You lead. As I walk closely with You, let my life reflect Your love and bring You glory. Amen.

Romans 8 : 5

For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Romans 8 : 5 NKJV

Living in the world today makes it tough to not conform to the ways of the world . It was never meant for the Christian to live like the world. In this scripture it says if you live by the flesh you will do things of the flesh such as lust, corruption, bad attitude, etc ….. But The Holy Spirit within us is the spirit of JESUS CHRIST and that Spirit is perfect. Today’s prayer is that we would Listen to what The Holy Spirit is telling us and confess with your mouth you are perfected by the spirit that lives within you!!!! Watch how the fleshly desires fade away …….. Be Blessed!!

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17

COME AWAY WITH GOD for a while. | SONG OF SONGS 2 : 13, LUKE 10 : 42

“COME AWAY WITH GOD for a while. The world, with its nonstop demands, can be put on hold. Most people put The LORD on hold, rationalizing that someday they will find time to focus on HIM. But the longer people push GOD into the background of their lives, the harder it is for them to find HIM. You live among people who glorify busyness; they have made time a tyrant that controls their lives. Even those who know GOD as Savior tend to march to the tempo of the world. They have bought into the illusion that more is always better: more meetings, more programs, more activity. GOD has called you to follow HIM on a solitary path, making time alone with The LORD your highest priority and deepest Joy. It is a pathway largely unappreciated and often despised. However, you have chosen the better thing, which will never be taken away from you. Moreover, as you walk close to GOD, HE can bless others through you.”

Scripture

The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance. Arise, come, my darling; my beautiful one, come with me.” SONG OF SONGS 2 : 13

“But only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” LUKE 10 : 42

Prayer

Prayer: God, draw me away from the noise and hurry of the world. Teach me to treasure quiet time with You more than anything else. Help me resist the pull of busyness and remember that You are my deepest joy. As I walk closely with You, bless others through me. Amen.

GOD’S CHILDREN make a pastime of judging one another — and themselves.| LUKE 6 : 37, 2 TIMOTHY 4 : 8, TITUS 3 : 5, ROMANS 8 : 1

“GOD’S CHILDREN make a pastime of judging one another — and themselves. But GOD is the only capable Judge, and The LORD has acquitted you through HIS own blood. Your acquittal came at the price of The LORD, JESUS CHRIST’S unparalleled sacrifice. That is why The LORD is highly offended when HE hears HIS children judge one another or indulge in self-hatred. If you live close to GOD and absorb HIS Word, the Holy Spirit will guide and correct you as needed. There is no condemnation for those who belong to GOD.”

Scripture

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” LUKE 6 : 37

Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 TIMOTHY 4 : 8

He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit. TITUS 3 : 5

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. ROMANS 8 : 1

Prayer

Prayer: God help me to live close to you and absorb your word. May your Holy Spirit guide and correct me as needed when my thoughts and words aren’t pleasing to you. Let only things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and admirable come out of my mouth. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Psalms 27 : 1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27 : 1 NKJV

It’s easy to worry or be afraid of certain situations but The Word says “whom shall we fear?”. Fear is not from GOD – Faith and Trust are. Today’s prayer is when a situation arises remember this Psalm and trust in GOD’S love and protection for you …….. Be Blessed!!

Yes, and the Lord will deliver me from every evil attack and will bring me safely into his heavenly Kingdom. All glory to God forever and ever! Amen. 2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬ :‭ 18‬ NLT

Sometimes it seems like the attacks are never ending, we are surrounded by evil all day every day, but in this scripture Paul writes take heart GOD will deliver us from all evil. GOD’S plan for us is not to suffer but to have peace and joy knowing what awaits us when this life is done. ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9 : 23

“Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭9 : 23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Do you carry your cross daily? And do you truly understand what it means to carry your cross? The LORD, JESUS CHRIST spoke about being disciples and denying themselves. To deny yourself is to give up earthly desires to not only live as JESUS CHRIST did but to also expect persecution as The LORD did. As Christians we are under attack not only from the devil but also the world. Today’s prayer is that we would embrace GOD’S amazing grace and pray to be shaped into the disciples that JESUS CHRIST longs for …… Be Blessed!

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5 : 17

TASTE AND SEE THAT GOD IS GOOD. | PSALM 34 : 8, ISAIAH 55 : 8 – 9

“TASTE AND SEE THAT GOD IS GOOD. This command contains an invitation to experience GOD’S living Presence. It also contains a promise. The more you experience GOD, the more convinced you become of HIS goodness. This knowledge is essential to your faith-walk. When adversities strike, the human instinct is to doubt GOD’S goodness. The LORD’S ways are mysterious, even to those who know HIM intimately. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are GOD’S ways and thoughts higher than your ways and thoughts. Do not try to fathom The LORD’S ways. Instead, spend time enjoying GOD and experiencing HIS goodness.”

Scripture

Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. PSALM 34 : 8

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” ISAIAH 55 : 8 – 9

Prayer

Prayer: Lord, thank You that You are always good, even when I don’t understand what You are doing. Like Job, help me to not hold onto anything tighter than I hold onto you and even in adversity, may I be able to say, “the Lord gives and takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” In Jesus’ name. Amen
