You live among people who glorify busyness; they have made time a tyrant that controls their lives. Even those who know GOD as Savior tend to march to the tempo of the world. They have bought into the illusion that more is always better: more meetings, more programs, more activity. The LORD has called you to follow HIM on a solitary path, making time alone with GOD your highest priority and deepest Joy. It is a pathway largely unappreciated and often despised. However, you have chosen the better thing, which will never be taken away from you. Moreover, as you walk close to GOD, The LORD can bless others through you.”

Prayer
Prayer: God, draw me away from the noise and hurry of the world. Teach me to treasure quiet time with You more than anything else. Help me resist the pull of busyness and remember that You are my deepest joy. As I walk closely with You, use me to bring Your peace and love to others. Amen.
