“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9 NIV
Can you imagine if God had the patience we have? Wow we would all be doomed. God the father has called us home at all different times, he revealed himself to us all along the way if you look back and think, he is there for the sinner just as he is there for the saved. Today’s prayer is that we would remember our lives before God and let him use us to be a instrument to bringing a lost soul home……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
““The servant who knows the master’s will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.” Luke 12:47-48 NIV
Do you realize there are expectations on our life from God, Do you think the day you received your salvation that was it? Do you use your salvation as fire insurance? This scripture teaches us that God has given us a gift and we are to do something with it!!! God has given each of us our own special gift, what are you doing with yours? Today’s prayer is that we would use our gift to further the Kingdom, not just keep our gift locked away in the closet…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“WHEN THINGS SEEM to be going all wrong, stop and affirm your trust in GOD. Calmly bring these matters to GOD, and leave them in HIS capable hands. Then, simply do the next thing. Stay in touch with The LORD through thankful, trusting prayers, resting in Christ’s sovereign control. Rejoice in The LORD —exult in the God of your salvation! As you trust in GOD, HE makes your feet like the feet of a deer. GOD enables you to walk and make progress upon your high places of trouble, suffering, or responsibility.”
Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him. JOB 13 : 15 (NKJV)
He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights. PSALM 18 : 33
Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and the fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. GOD, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer’s; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. HABAKKUK 3 : 17 – 19
Prayer: Lord help me to stop and affirm my trust in you and leave all my concerns in your capable hands. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:6-7 NIV
Time for a self check? I know for myself self checks are critical. Today’s world is nipping at your heels non stop. Checking yourself daily assures that you are living a life that pleases God. Today’s prayer is that we all would be so deeply rooted in God’s word that we become perfect imitators of Jesus and have a daily walk that pleases the Father…..In Jesus name Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“SIT QUIETLY IN GOD’S PRESENCE while HE blesses you. Make your mind like a still pool of water, ready to receive whatever thoughts GOD drops into it. Rest in The LORD’S sufficiency, as you consider the challenges this day presents. Do not wear yourself out by worrying about whether you can cope with the pressures. Keep looking to The LORD and communicating with HIM, as you walk through this day together. Take time to rest by the wayside, for GOD is not in a hurry. A leisurely pace accomplishes more than hurried striving. When you rush, you forget who you are and whose you are. Remember that you are royalty in GOD’S kingdom.”
Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. PSALM 37 : 7
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. ROMANS 8 : 16 – 17
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 1 PETER 2 : 9
Prayer: God help me to make time to sit in your presence. To keep looking at you and talking with you as we walk through this day together. To rest often and feel no guilt, just as you did on the 7th day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ “ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’ “ ‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’ ”” Matthew 13:24-30 NIV
This parable has always ministered to me in an eye opening way. This relates to choice, The choice to believe or not believe. To live among the weeds can be a negative or a positive, if we take the opportunity to witness the Gospel it’s a positive, if we choose to let them affect us then it becomes a negative. Today’s prayer is that we would understand that God leaves the weeds until his time comes, God wants not one to be lost but all to be saved……. Take the opportunity to witness and Be Blessed

“HOLD GOD’S HAND, and walk joyously with GOD through this day. Together you and The LORD will savor the pleasures and endure the difficulties it brings. Be on the lookout for everything GOD has prepared for you: stunning scenery, bracing winds of adventure, cozy nooks for resting when you are weary, and much more. The LORD is your Guide, as well as your constant Companion. GOD knows every step of the journey ahead of you, all the way to heaven. You don’t have to choose between staying close to Christ and staying on course. Since Christ the Lord is the Way, staying close to HIM is staying on course. As you focus your thoughts on GOD, HE will guide you carefully along today’s journey. Don’t worry about what is around the next bend. Just concentrate on enjoying GOD’S Presence and staying in step with HIM.”
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” JOHN 14 : 6
Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. COLOSSIANS 4 : 2
Prayer: God thank you for being my guide and my constant companion. Help me not to worry about what is around the bend, but to focus on enjoying your presence and staying in step with you today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.” Psalms 84:11 NKJV
God wants nothing but good for his children, but we do have to do our part. To live a life that is not pleasing to God will produce results that are not of God’s blessings but results of the worldly measure. Today’s prayer is that we would live our life in line with God’s word, live an upright and blameless life, live a humble life……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“WATCH YOUR WORDS DILIGENTLY. Words have such great power to bless or to wound. When you speak carelessly or negatively, you damage others as well as yourself. This ability to verbalize is an awesome privilege, granted only to those GOD created in HIS image. You need help in wielding this mighty power responsibly. Though the world applauds quick-witted retorts, GOD’S instructions about communication are quite different: Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Ask GOD”S Holy Spirit to help you whenever you speak. GOD has trained you to pray—“Help me, Holy Spirit”—before answering the phone, and you have seen the benefits of this discipline. Simply apply the same discipline to communicating with people around you. If they are silent, pray before speaking to them. If they are talking, pray before responding. These are split-second prayers, but they put you in touch with GOD’S Presence. In this way, your speaking comes under the control of GOD’S Holy Spirit. As positive speech patterns replace your negative ones, the increase in your Joy will amaze you.”
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. PROVERBS 12 : 18
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry. JAMES 1 : 19
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. EPHESIANS 4 : 29
Personal Note: It was losing control of my tongue in 11′ that sent me to a low point in life. That event and the consequences of it are what lead me to daily prayer / Bible study to learn how to control my tongue and that increased control to this day has been one of the greatest day-to-day, tangible benefits of my growth in Christ.
Prayer: Holy Spirit control my tongue today. Help me to speak only words that are helpful and build others up. Forgive me for the times I’ve spoken careless and negative words. In Jesus’ name. Amen
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 NIV
We all know and we have all heard but do we choose to believe or disbelieve? God’s word is the everlasting truth! It never fails. There are times that we all feel like giving in, but that’s when we run to God not walk. God is faithful to those who diligently seek his refuge. Today’s prayer that in the good and bad times we seek God for his guidance and peace……Be Blessed
