Remember being a kid and being afraid of the dark? I do, I remember when it was dark you heard every noise and the wind outside sounded like the biggest ugliest monster there was. To live in the dark is to hide all the things that are not of the Lord. The light shines exposes everything it shows the true definition of all.
Today’s prayer is that we would all shine bright for Jesus!!! Remember on the first day God said “let there be light” …….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“BE ON GUARD against the pit of self-pity. When you are weary or unwell, this demonic trap is the greatest danger you face. Don’t even go near the edge of the pit. It’s edges crumble easily, and before you know it, you are on the way down. It is ever so much harder to get out of the pit than to keep a safe distance from it. That is why GOD tells you to be on guard. There are several ways to protect yourself from self-pity. When you are occupied with praising and thanking GOD, it is impossible to feel sorry for yourself. Also, the closer you live to GOD, the more distance there is between you and the pit. Live in the Light of GOD’S Presence by fixing your eyes on HIM. Then you will be able to run with endurance the race that is set before you, without stumbling or falling.” para-phrased- “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O LORD. In Your name they rejoice all day long, And in Your righteousness they are exalted. PSALM 89 : 15 – 16
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.. HEBREWS 12 : 1 – 2 (NKJV)
Prayer: God help me to be on guard against the pit of self-pity by praising and thanking you for all you have done, are currently doing, and will do in the future for me. Help me to stay close to you today, to talk with you often. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
“Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.” Ephesians 6:13 NASB
How do you start your day? Are you praying? Reading devotionals? If you’re not you should be. To start the day with God is to finish the day with God and being prayed up before you start your day changes everything. Today’s prayer is that would would take up our Armor, be prayed up, and Glorify God in all we do…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“YOU NEED GOD EVERY MOMENT. Your awareness of your constant need for GOD is your greatest strength. Your neediness, properly handled, is a link to GOD’S Presence. However, there are pitfalls that you must be on guard against: self-pity, self-preoccupation, giving up. Your inadequacy presents you with a continual choice—deep dependence on GOD, or despair. The emptiness you feel within will be filled either with problems or with GOD’S Presence. Make GOD central in your consciousness by praying continually: simple, short prayers flowing out of the present moment. Use GOD’S Name liberally, to remind you of GOD’S Presence. Keep on asking and you will receive, so that your gladness may be full and complete.” – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
Pray continually. 1 THESSALONIANS 5 : 17
Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. JOHN 16:24
Prayer: Lord help me to have a deep dependence on you this week and to talk with you more throughout the day. To bring you into every detail of my day. You are my best friend and the great I Am. There is no one I’d rather do life with. Thank you Jesus for making that possible. In your precious name I pray. Amen.
“For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.” Psalms 11:7 NKJV
Oh to being pleasing to God, he loves when we become more like his Son. The way we think determines the way we act, for example if we look at the negative in all situations we will become negative, if we look at the positives we will become positive. Today’s prayer is that we would be bright witnesses to the positive change having Jesus as the cornerstone in our lives and let all know it’s waiting for them as well…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.” James 4:7-8 NLT
Where does your loyalty lie? Are you battling a spiritual warfare today? Are your motives pure ? This scripture I believe describes most of us at a certain time. Today’s prayer is that we would all humble ourselves before God almighty and ask for the strength to battle the war within, To give us pure motives in all we do, and for us to be loyal to God as he is to us……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
Sometimes it’s hard to grasp the mercy of God, we fail daily but the Lord is right there to pick us up and put us back on the straight path. Our salvation is our everything and we need to thank the Lord daily. Today’s prayer is when we miss the mark and fall into sin we understand our counselor is right there waiting with arms wide open, repent and ask for guidance…….Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“YOU ARE FEELING WEIGHED DOWN by a plethora of problems, both big and small. They seem to require more and more of your attention, but you must not give in to those demands. When the difficulties in your life feel as if they’re closing in on you, break free by spending quality time with GOD. You need to remember who GOD is in all HIS Power and Glory. Then, humbly bring GOD your prayers and petitions. Your problems will pale when you view them in the Light of GOD’S Presence. You can learn to be joyful in The LORD, your Savior, even in the midst of adverse circumstances. Rely on GOD, your Strength; The LORD make yours feet like the feet of a deer, enabling you to go on the heights.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
God said to Moses, “I am who I am . This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” EXODUS 3 : 14
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights. For the director of music. On my stringed instruments. HABAKKUK 3 : 17 – 19
Prayer: God help me to break free from worry by spending time with you. Then I can see things more clearly from your perspective. Help me to rely on you and your strength, and not my own. With you, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Isaiah spoke plain and clear about Jesus in this prophecy. What are you hoping for? Who have you put your hope in? Today’s prayer is that we all would remember who we put our trust in, we put our trust in Jesus Christ the hope of the world, so when the waters get rough remember this scripture……Be Blessed
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2 Corinthians 5:17
“GOD IS WITH YOU. These four words are like a safety net, protecting you from falling into despair. Because you are human, you will always have ups and downs in your life experience. But the promise of GOD’S Presence limits how far down you can go. Sometimes you may feel as if you are in a free fall, when people or things you had counted on let you down. Yet as soon as you remember that GOD is with you, your perspective changes radically. Instead of bemoaning your circumstances, you can look to GOD for help. You recall that not only is GOD with you, HE is holding you by your right hand. GOD guides you with HIS counsel, and afterward GOD will take you into Glory. This is exactly the perspective you need: the reassurance of GOD’S Presence, and the glorious hope of heaven.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young
“The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.” ZEPHANIAH 3 : 17
Yet I am always with you; you hold me by my right hand. You guide me with your counsel, and afterward you will take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. PSALM 73 : 23 – 26
Prayer: Lord thank you for promising to always be with me, no matter what. Help me to see things from your perspective today. This world is not my true home, and my soul longs to be with you in Heaven. Until then, fill me with your peace and joy and strength for today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
