Later, Levi held a banquet in his home with Jesus as the guest of honor. Many of Levi’s fellow tax collectors and other guests also ate with them. But the Pharisees and their teachers of religious law complained bitterly to Jesus’ disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with such scum? ” Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” Luke 5:29-32 NLT
Have you put yourself in a Christian bubble? Do you only associate with other believers ? When was the last time you saw someone living in sin and told them that Jesus loves them? Jesus took a lot of criticism for eating with the sinners at Matthews house, but have you ever wondered what the Pharisee’s were doing there?. The person who portrays that they are so righteous may need the most witness. Today I pray that we would all love equally! Believer and Non believer, to be more like Jesus we have to love the sinner, but not the sin……Be Blessed
