Anything that you desire more than GOD becomes an idol. When you are determined to get your own way, you blot GOD out of your consciousness. Instead of single-mindedly pursuing some goal, talk with GOD about it. Let the Light of The LORD’S Presence shine on this pursuit, so that you can see it from HIS perspective. If the goal fits into GOD’S plans for you, HE will help you reach it. If it is contrary to GOD’S will for you, HE will gradually change the desire of your heart. “MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE PROBLEMS IN YOUR LIFE. Though many things feel random and wrong, remember that GOD is sovereign over everything. GOD can fit everything into a pattern for good, but only to the extent that you trust HIM. Every problem can teach you something, transforming you little by little into the masterpiece The LORD created you to be. The very same problem can become a stumbling block over which you fall, if you react with distrust and defiance. The choice is up to you, and you will have to choose many times each day whether to trust GOD or defy HIM. The best way to befriend your problems is to thank GOD for them. This simple act opens your mind to the possibility of benefits flowing from your difficulties. You can even give persistent problems nicknames, helping you to approach them with familiarity rather than with dread. The next step is to introduce them to GOD, enabling The LORD to embrace them in HIM loving Presence. Ask GOD’S Holy Spirit to give you this discernment. Many of GOD’S children run around in circles, trying to obey the various voices directing their lives.
