Daily Devotional Video 6/17/2020 – PROVERBS 17 : 22, PROVERBS 31 : 25, MATTHEW 1 : 23, Matthew 11:28-29

“LEARN TO LAUGH at yourself more freely. Don’t take yourself or your circumstances so seriously. Relax and know that God is with you. When you desire GOD’S will above all else, life becomes much less threatening. Stop trying to monitor GOD’S responsibilities—things that are beyond your control. Find freedom by accepting the boundaries of your domain. Laughter lightens your load and lifts your heart into heavenly places. Your laughter rises to heaven and blends with angelic melodies of praise. Just as parents delight in the laughter of their children, so GOD delights in hearing HIS children laugh. GOD rejoices when you trust HIM enough to enjoy your life light-heartedly. Do not miss the Joy of GOD’S Presence by carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. Rather, take The LORD’S yoke upon you and learn from HIM. GOD’S yoke is comfortable and pleasant; HIS burden is light and easily borne.” para-phrased – “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young

A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. PROVERBS 17 : 22

She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. PROVERBS 31 : 25

“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.” MATTHEW 1 : 23

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 (ESV2001)

Prayer: Lord help me to laugh at myself more freely. To relax and let you fill me with your peace and joy. To remember you want me to live an abundant life with you both here and now and in Heaven. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
